7 ways to fight your fears

Whatever it is that scares you, here are 7 ways to help you cope with your day-to-day fears and anxieties. (NHS,2021)
1. Take time out
When you are in the grips of fear it is impossible to think clearly. Take some time out to relax before making any decisions.
2. Breathe through panic
Take slow deep breaths. If you do not breathe diapragmically now is the time to learn. Essentially breathe so that the air is pulled down into your diaphragm. Your stomach should get larger as you inhale and smaller as you exhale. This will bring lots of oxygen to your body.
3. Face your fears
Avoidance breeds avoidance. Face your fears as soon as you can. If you have a phobia or an anxiety disorder check with a doctor first. The idea is that when you face the fear you start to get used to it and then the fear fades. Also, much of fear…
